Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.
Automobiles, walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.
Law enforcement say they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish liquid.
The fluid had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Officers then located multiple other marked automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.
Law enforcement report initial examinations suggest the substance was likely blood from a person.
"There is still no clue as to where it came from; officials are presently not aware of any harm in relation with the incident," they commented.
Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to unravel the case" and have requested to the public for tips.
A senior political figure commented the attack rendered him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.
"This act hits the core of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on social media, recalling the murder of nine victims by a assailant aiming at residents of migrant background in five years prior.
